Rods and rings

Rods and Rings (R&R) are a poorly characterized cytoplasmic structure that is present at low levels in human cell lines. The function of R&R remains to be revealed.

Immunofluorescent staining

R&R were named after their rod and ring like shape. They vary a lot in their size from very small to stretching out over long distances in the cell and also their number differ between cells.
